Founded in September 2010 in accordance with Article 35 of the Korean Medical Law (Special Approval for the Establishment of Medical Institutions), the KAIST Clinic serves students, faculty and their family members to enhance their physical, mental and social health.
As of February 2022, the Clinic has offered medical services in eight departments: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Stress Clinic, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Radiology and Dentistry. In addition, the Clinic is operating the Health promotion center for health check-up, Health management office, Endoscopy room, Physical therapy room, and Radiography room for disease prevention, treatment and education of diseases.
With 60,000 patients annually visiting the facility, the Clinic has grown to become a trusted, reliable health partner for the KAIST family, by investing countless efforts and delivering the best medical services including prevention, treatment and education of diseases. The KAIST Clinic is committed to provide students with affordable, yet the highest level of healthcare services from their admission to graduation, thereby supporting them to fully engage in study and research. Students receive important information on various diseases through the Clinic, as well as preventive health services using state-of-the-art medical equipment. As a result, the KAIST Clinic has been ranked #1 within facilities on the campus for the past seven years in the "Survey of Customer Satisfaction of Public Institutions in Korea," conducted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Republic of Korea.
Utilizing KAIST’s 20 years of experience in education and research of medical science and engineering, the KAIST Clinic endeavors to take the lead in developing advanced medical techniques. The KAIST Clinic will initiate research that enables it to find solutions or treatments to incurable and rare diseases. In so doing, the Clinic aims not only to contribute to the KAIST community but also benefit the humanity and society.
The KAIST Clinic will pursue "Change" to enhance the entire medical process more friendly and accessible for our patients and visitors; will actively "Communicate" with the KAIST community by expressing sympathy, careful consideration, and appreciation; and will strive to provide patient-centered "Care" services.
